The Metropolitan Diary of the New York Times continues to share humorous real-life stories and experiences of natives and visitors of New York City. Every time I read them, I can’t help but laugh, sometimes very loudly and sometimes, depending on my surroundings, attracting a little too much attention. The current edition includes an encounter in a pet store, the duties of a doorman, and a well-stocked hardware store with a misunderstanding.
