New York City Feelings

I would give the greatest sunset in the world for one sight of New York's skyline

Circle of Taste, the culinary club of Time Warner Center’s The Restaurant and Bar Collection (think Per Se, Bouchon Bakery, Porter House New York, Masa, Bar Masa, Landmarc, Stone Rose Lounge and A Voce Columbus), continues to host some great events. Now, they’ve teamed up with Jazz at Lincoln Center for Taste of Jazz, a culinary and jazz event on April 9th to celebrate the first ever “Jazz Day” during Jazz Appreciation Month. Executive Chefs from the Center’s Restaurant and Bar Collection will be presenting some special dishes inspired by great American jazz cities. Chef Missy Robbins of A Voce will be paying homage to her hometown of Chicago with a dish of citrus-cured sardines & fennel. Chef Masa Takayama will be representing Los Angeles with his version of the “Jazzy Duck” — marinated duck with foie gras inside of a mooshu skin. Chef Michael Lomonaco of Porter House New York will be improvising on NYC with a NY strip steak and NY cheesecake. While Chef Marc Murphy of Landmarc will be bringing NYC some N’awlins vibe with a shrimp gumbo. The evening will also include a full open bar with a specialty cocktail (bourbon mint iced tea) and music led by saxophonist Walter Blanding of the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. It all takes place on the Second Floor of Time Warner Center on Friday, April 9th beginning at 6:30pm. For more information and to purchase tickets, click here. Bouchon Bakery will be presenting a San Francisco themed treat with sourdough Parker House rolls filled with a single origin chocolate custard. Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola Chef Tim Sullivan celebrates my hometown of sunny Atlanta with peach cobbler baked with a brown sugar & graham cracker crust. There will also be additional dishes inspired by Jazz city greats Kansas City and Austin, including:
· Slow smoked ribs with molasses bourbon BBQ sauce;
· 3 cheese mac & cheese,
· “DLT” Duck Prosciutto with black pepper gougere, baby arugula and cherry tomato,
· Collard green quiche with lardon and micro kale,
· Jonah crab croquette with guacamole and lime
· Full Bar with specialty cocktail, Bourbon-Mint Iced Tea
